Дорогая Маша, не задавай никогда в одном вопросе столько примеров. Много буковок. Ответчики устают их читать. Вот тебе ответ на первый пункт:
Mary was preparing lunch when they came.
А дальше аналогично. Надо только подумать, длительное, завершенное или неважно какое действие описывается.
