Is the animal and geographic diversity of Australia unique?
In my humble opinion, it is. It is especially pronounced in the wildlife.
It is impossible to found so many poisonous spiders on any other continent.
Kangaroos, wombats, and koalas are also endemic species.
The egg-laying echidna and platypus are particularly surprising.
Some imperfectly intelligent individuals have other opinions. They are blabbering some nonsense about South America, for example. Some point out how similar deserts are. But there are no good arguments in defense.
Therefore, the only one true option remains.
