Dear Kate,
Thanks for your reply. I'm so glad to hear from you.
Well, we celebrate a lot of events, such as Knowledge Day, Teacher's Day, New Year, Women's Day, Victory Day and others. In addition, we engage in competitions and contests. On New Year, we decorate our school, sing new songs, dance, and have a lot of fun. When the clock strikes midnight, we give each other presents (или we exchange gifts). I'd love to/My sincere wish is to get a new cell/mobile phone because my old one is broken.
Drop me a line.
Best wishes,
Dmitry

It’s Christmas time and we're having a Christmas fair next week at school. And all the money will go to charity. I just thought about making some ginger cookies for the event… …What school events do you have during the school year? What is the programme of your school New Year party? What present would you like to get for the New Year?
Dear Kate,
Thank you for your recent email. I was very glad to hear from you.
In your email you asked me about New Year. Well, we have a lot of events during the school year. We celebrate Knowledge day, Teacher's day, New Year, Women's day, Victory day and others. Also we have some competitions and olympiads. As for New Year party, we decorate school, sing new year's songs, dance and have a lot of fun. Then we give presents each other. To tell the truth, I would like to get a new mobile phone for the New Year because my old phone is broken.
Drop me a line.
Best wishes,
Dmitry
