The City is renowned for its bustling business centre, significant not only economically but also politically and culturally. It's home to numerous banks, offices, and the Stock Exchange. The streets of the City are narrow, and traffic is notoriously heavy.
In contrast, the West End is famous for its beautiful parks and affluent museums, shops, restaurants, and art galleries. It boasts numerous landmarks and historical monuments, along with comfortable hotels. Unlike the City, the streets of the West End are wide and clean.
The East End, historically an industrial area, was home to factories, plants, and shipyards. While it has undergone significant regeneration, it still retains many older, often cramped and somewhat dilapidated buildings. The streets here are narrow and often less well-maintained than those in the West End, with lighter traffic.
Finally, Westminster attracts visitors with its countless historical landmarks and monuments, including Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament. This area also features many upscale hotels.
