Английский . помогите заполнить пропуски. Используя их в past simple past continuous or past perfect

I fell asleep on the train once and missed my stop. It was 2 years ago when I was leaving college in London to go home. I was travelling on a train from King's Cross to Newark-on-Trent about 125 miles away. It had been a long day in London, so I was very tired. I had done this journey many times but had never fallen asleep before. On this occasion, I woke up just as a train was stopping in Newark, so I got my bags and went to the door, but unfortunately, before I got there, the train set off again. I hoped to get off at the next stop, but the train didn't stop there. Finally, the train arrived in Doncaster, 35 miles north of Newark, where I got off. Luckily, I only had to wait 10 minutes for a train going in the opposite direction, and I arrived back in Newark, only a little over an hour after I had missed my stop.
