At the evening or in the evening?^^

At the evening - на вечере (на каком-то вечере)
In the evening - вечером

Normally I stay at home in the evening, but this evening I'm going to the movies

1. Preposition of time: As the name suggests, preposition of time shows the link between nouns, pronouns, and phrases to other words in a sentence with respect to time.

ये Prepositions, Time के सन्दर्भ में Noun / Pronoun को वाक्य में अन्य शब्दों के साथ जोड़ती है

The commonly used prepositions of time are On,At and In. These words denote one point in time.

On:On a day, a date, a holiday, certain days.

Examples:

· On Monday (दिन)

· on the 15th (तारीख)

· on her birthday(खास दिन)

· on Diwali (त्यौहार)

At: At is used with specific points in the day (noon, night, midnight) or when the specific time is mentioned.

(अर्थात घडी के समय(exact time) तथा दिन के हिस्सों(sunrise, noon, dawn, sunset etc)

से पहले ‘at’ का प्रयोग करते है)

Examples:

· My work begins at noon.

· The candidates arrived at 8:00 a.m.

In: In is used with months, with years, and with seasons.

In:- (morning,evening, year, month, week)

Examples:

· The days are long in August. (month)

· The book was published in 2000. (year)

Note:- Morning/evening के साथ day/date का प्रयोग होने पर ‘on’ का प्रयोग होता है.

Ex:-They will play football in Sunday morning.(incorrect)

They will play football on Sunday morning.(correct)
