However, should you feel that you really really really REALLY must go, you can de-activate your account via this page

Once your account is deactivated:
Your profile page is wiped clean.
All of your deviations are deleted.
All of your journals and blog posts are deleted.
All of your news articles submissions are deleted.
All of your previous comments will show your username with a "!" symbol next to them.
You will only be able to login to view previous shop purchase activity.
You will no longer be able to participate in the deviantART community.
