Nowadays there are a lot of heated debates and discussions on the subject of cars. Some people say that personal transport is one of the greatest inventions ever while others do not support this point of view.

I personally see both advantages and disadvantages of driving cars. On the one hand, you do not depend on anyone or anything if you own a vehicle. This way, you never miss a train or a bus. You can get to the hospital in case of emergency. You can travel late at night when public transport is not available.

On the other hand, however, too many cars mean bad traffic and endless traffic jams, especially if it's a rush hour. What is more, drivers nowadays do not leave their vehicles in the garage. They simply park at their blocks of flats. This means that the environment gets polluted with exhaust fumes and our yards turn into ugly car parks.

To sum it up, while cars give us freedom, they cause quite a lot of issues and are not friendly to the environment at all.
