Despite the very simple and even naive plot, the Russian folk tale “Kolobok” is filled with a deep, even philosophical meaning.
Its main character is Kolobok, whose fate, it would seem, was predetermined from the moment of birth. It was made to eat, without asking the wishes of the Bun itself.
And Kolobok decided to turn the tide, he ran away from his grandfather and from the old woman, and went to the forest in search of a better life.
Meeting with a variety of animals, Kolobok makes sure that they all see him exclusively as food. Kolobok manages to deceive the animals, and he continues on his way. He is not discouraged, he believes in the best.
But the first successes turned Kolobok's head, he completely forgets about caution. An important role was also played by the inexperience of the newly baked Bun, his lack of life experience. And he gets caught by a fox. At this point, the Kolobok's life path turns out to be finished. By his example, he shows the validity of the statement that you cannot escape from fate.
