По составу семей семьи мало, чем отличаются, в России также много неполных семей, правда, папы- одиночки менее распространенное явление в России. К чести детей нужно сказать, что российские старики редко помещаются в дома престарелых и стараются заботится о них, когда они становятся немощными.
Если сравнивать систему воспитания детей в России и Англии , то здесь дела обстоят с точностью до наоборот. Россияне дружно осудят спартанское воспитание детей в Англии. Ведь у нас ребенок является центром заботы всех членов семьи. Причем, любвеобильные родители не оставляют своего взрослого ребенка в покое, даже когда самостоятельность уже ему крайне необходима. Это иногда приводит к затянувшейся инфантильности.
На наш взгляд, из этих двух систем можно было выбрать русскую привязанность, эмоциональность, теплоту и английские самостоятельность, подготовку к нелегкой взрослой жизни, уважение к праву ребенка сделать выбор.
Увлечение россиян дачами немного напоминает английскую страсть к огородничеству, но большинство россиян подходят к этому прагматично; подышать свежим воздухом, вырастить экологически чистые овощи и фрукты. Сад англичанина напоминает ботанический сад, выставку ландшафтного дизайна.Самым любимым праздником российских семей является Новый год, не Рождество. У нас тоже есть много славных семейных традиций, мы с удовольствием встречаемся, созваниваемся, с удовольствием готовим семейные торжества, безвозмездно помогаем материально своей семье при необходимости.
В России большая часть населения живет в многоквартирных домах, но в последнее время заметна тенденция строительства индивидуальных домов коттеджного типа . Конечно, нам кажется очень странной и необоснованной традиция отсутствия смесителя в английской сантехнике. Непонятно, почему нужно жертвовать своим комфортом в угоду древним традициям. Традиция давать домам имена и утренний приход молочника нам нравится и кажется очень романтичными.
По приему пищи также немало различий. В России завтрак явно не является основной трапезой. Обед у большинства работающих и учащихся тоже не является полноценным приемом пищи. И получается , что ужин- как раз и становится основной едой. А это, как мы знаем, не очень хорошо для пищеварения. И, конечно, у нас нет обязательного 5o”clock tea. На наш взгляд, английская кухня менее разнообразная, но более здоровая. С системой медицинского обслуживания англичанам, похоже, тоже повезло больше.
Количество платных поликлиник и количество платных услуг даже в муниципальных больницах у нас в России подтверждает этот факт. Трудно сравнивать доходы и расходы российской и английской семей, но категория среднего класса в Англии намного многочисленнее.

The garden of the Englishman reminds a botanical garden, an exhibition of landscape design. The most favourite holiday of the Russian families is New year, not Christmas. We too have many nice family traditions, we meet, call up to pleasure, with pleasure we prepare family celebrations, gratuitously we support the family if necessary.
In Russia the population most part lives in apartment houses, but the tendency of building of individual houses of cottage type recently is appreciable. Certainly, the tradition of absence of the amalgamator in English the sanitary technician seems to us very strange and unreasonable.
